Converse Postbank opens its first regional postal branch 
ArmInfo.  Converse Bank has opened two branches in the town of Kapan.  Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was present at today's ribbon-cutting ceremony. Besides the standard division of the bank, a postal division with PostBank branch was also opened. PostBank is a joint project of Haypost postal operator and Converse Bank, and it aims to provide the basic range of retail and financial services of Converse Bank.     
Executive Director of Converse Bank Tigran Davtyan said that the bank's branch in Kapan will become the first at the south of Armenia. 16 job positions will be created, 11 of them – in the bank's branch, and 5 – at the postal branch. To recall, within the next 5 years Haypost is going to open 250 branches that will provide Converse Bank's services.      
To note, the majority shareholder of Converse Bank CJSC and the concessional manager of Haypost are the companies owned by Eduardo Eurnekian, Argentine entrepreneur of Armenian origin. The Converse Postbank project envisages opening of branches at Haypost divisions.  
The Postbank envisages attraction of deposits, opening of saving accounts, implementation of money transfers, currency exchange and provision of debit cards. In September Haypost Trust Manager Juan-Pablo Gechijian (who is also the chairman of Converse Bank Board) said that 18 bln AMD will be invested in modernization of Haypost services within the next 10 years, of them 10 bln - within the next 5 years.
