Areximbank-Gazprombank Group increases number of payment cards by 20% over Jan-Sep 2010


ArmInfo. Over Jan-Sep 2010 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group increased the number of payment cards by 20% to 68828, the press service of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group press service told ArmInfo.

According to the source, over Jan-Sep 2010 the volume of operations with the bank's cards grew by 76% (18.8 mln AMD), of them 17.5 mln AMD being cash operations, 1.3 mln AMD - noncash operations. As of 1 October 2010, the number of the bank's bancomats totaled 43, and POS-terminals - 112.

Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC is a principal member of international payment systems Visa (since 2002) and MasterCard International (since 2005), as well as a member of the local payment system ArCa (since 2009) with the status of a serving bank. In 2009 the bank completed migration of its own processing center to the processing center of the Russian Gazprombank OJSC. Areximbank-Gazprombank Group was the first Armenian bank to introduce the service of online ordering of international plastic cards.
