In Sept 2010 bank loans in Armenia grew by 1.8% to $2.3bln
ArmInfo. In Sept 2010 bank loans in Armenia grew by 1.8%. In Jan-Sept 2010 they grew by 15.1%, as compared with Sept 2009 - by 22% to 848.4bln AMD or $2.3bln. With prolonged and overdue loans exclusive, the index makes up 813.6bln AMD or $2.2bln (2.7% growth in Sept 2010).
The Central Bank of Armenia reports that the share of AMD loans made up 43.8% ot 356.8bln AMD (1.5% and 13.8% growths in Sept 2010 and as compared with Sept 2009), the share of foreign exchange credits - 56.1% or 456.8bln (+3.7% and +30%, respectively).
The share of prolonged loans made up 3.8% or 32.7bln AMD, the share of overdue credits - 0.2% or 2.1bln AMD.
The interest rates of AMD loans dropped from 19.24% to 18.78% in Sept 2010 and rose by 0.43% as compared with Sept 2009.
