VTB Bank (Armenia) introduces a new product – credit cards with grace period of crediting
ArmInfo. Starting November 15 VTB Bank (Armenia) offers a new product to individuals – credit cards Visa Classic credit and Visa Gold credit with grace period of crediting. The press service of VTB Bank (Armenia) told ArmInfo that now the holders of credit cards of VTB Bank (Armenia) will have an opportunity to use the credit line free of charge for a certain period of time. According to the source, the credit cards are provided to everyone having stable income, and preferential terms are provided to employees of the organizations accredited by the Bank and to individuals having accounts in VTB Bank (Armenia).
"This is the first step towards modernization of card products, development of which is strategically important for the bank. The key advantage of the credit card is the grace period for free use of money. The period of approval of the client's application for a credit line is 3 days, which is also important. The credit line is provided in any currency (AMD, USD, EUR, RUR). In addition, the client receives an opportunity to have three more cards and receive discounts at almost 200 sales outlets", said A.Khachatryan, Director of Retail Business Development Department of VTB Bank (Armenia).
According to the latest data of VTB Bank (Armenia), as of 1 October 2010 the number of active cards of the bank totaled 87800 (the bank issues only Visa cards) against 70250 as of 1 April 2010.
To recall, VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became part of the international financial VTB Group in April 2004. At present VTB Bank OJSC, the second biggest bank in Russia, owns 100% of shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). Traditionally, the bank is among the leaders of the Armenian banking system by a number of basic parameters. At the moment the bank has the biggest branch network in Armenia (68 branches).
