Online payments in Armenia becoming popular


ArmInfo. Online trading and payments for communal services totaled 674 million drams in November 2010 (69353 transactions), the growth as against the same period of 2009 was over 52%. On-line payments for communal services for Nov totaled 189.5 million drams, which was 77.5% more than a year ago. The number of payments totaled 36730 and grew 78.7% versus the same period of 2009. On-line trading grew 83.7% versus Nov 2009 and totaled 179 million drams (29171 transactions - up 56.6%).

CJSC Armenian Card told ArmInfo, the share of card-to-card transfers made up 305.6 million drams, the growth as against Nov 2009 was 28.1% (the number of transactions grew 52.5% to 3452).
