Money supply in Armenia up 1.8% to $2.3 million for Nov 2010
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia was up 1.8% for Nov 2010 and 7,6% for Jan-Nov 2010 (and by 9,5% as against the same period of 2009, having reached 839.3 bln drams ($2.3 bln) as of 1 December.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that cash circulated out of the banking system grew by 5% for Jan-Nov 2010 to 279.7 billion drams as of 1 December. The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in total money supply was 24% or 200.7 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 42.7% or 358.7 billion drams.
External assets were down 9.3% over Nov 2010 to 210.2 billion drams (down 47.2% for Jan-Nov 2010). Internal assets increased 6.1% in Nov and 67% for Jan-Nov 2010, having amounted to 629 billion drams as of 1 December 2010. In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government proved at the negative level of 107.7 billion drams (up 10.9% in Nov). In addition, the share of economy was 936.1 billion drams (up 2.9% for Nov). The share of organizations was 511.3 billion drams (up 3.6% in Nov) and the share of non-commercial enterprises was 12 billion drams (up 0,2% for Nov).
