INGO Armenia IC signs 60,000 MTPLI agreements
ArmInfo. INGO Armenia Insurance Company has signed 60,000 MTPLI agreements, the Company press service told ArmInfo. According to the Company experts, about 75-80% of the total number of car owners in Armenia have insured motor third party liability.
INGO Armenia has fixed almost 240 road traffic accidents (phone messages) since the Law on MTPLI came into force, 45 of them have been recorded by insurers. Insurance indemnities paid by the Company over this period totaled 4 mln drams.
To note, INGO Armenia IC is a member of INGO International Insurance Group and currently has one of the widest agency networks in the territory of Armenia. The Company's potential client can make use of MTPLI policy home-delivery services, an opportunity of phone order of the insurance policy, as well as by e-mail and through a payment terminal. The Company has licenses for implementation of 13 classes (subclasses) of non-life insurance.
To recall, the Law on Motor Third Party Liability Insurance (MTPLI) came into force on January 1, 2011. Armenian insurers started selling MTPLI policies on October 18, 2010 and have already signed about 300,000 agreements.
