Currency transactions at NASDAQ OMX Armenia grew by 32,4%, and the average exchange rate fell by 1,4%
ArmInfo. Last week (17-23 January) Armenian banks provided loans worth 17.8 bln AMD and $21.9 mln, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo.
As compared with the previous period (10-16 January), the volume of AMD loans provided by the banks grew by 0.6%, while the volume of USD loans fell by 22.1%.
According to the source, over the current week (24-27 January) the banks bought $87.1 mln at the average exchange rate of 363,83 AMD/$1, and sold $91.5 mln at the average exchange rate of 365,41 AMD/$1 in the intrabank currency market (transactions with clients).
Over the given period currency purchase and sale operations worth $21.850 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 363,23AMD/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia; the biggest volume was registered on 26 January ($11.710 mln).
Currency purchase and sale operations worth $4.051 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 364,86 AMD/$1 in the interbank currency market from 24 to 27 January.
The volume of currency transactions at NASDAQ OMX Armenia grew by 32,4%, and the average exchange rate fell by 1,4%. In the interbank currency market transactions grew almost twice, and the average exchange rate dropped by 0,5%.
