Areximbank-Gazprombank Group intends to increase its credit portfolio to 73.5 bln AMD in 2011
ArmInfo. Areximbank-Gazprombank Group is going to increase its credit portfolio to 73.5 bln AMD. In this structure the portfolio of loans by payment cards will grow by 1 bln AMD (to 3 bln AMD). The press service of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group told ArmInfo that by 2011 the total credit portfolio of the bank amounted to 50 bln AMD (over twofold annual growth and 15.3% quarterly growth). The share of loans by payment cards made up 5% or 2 bln AMD. Over 2010 the number of payment cards issued by the bank grew by 30.6% to 75315, and the volume of operations with the cards - by 45.75%.
According to the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), as of 1 Jan 2011 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group occupied the 8th position in the banking system by the amount of its credit portfolio, in which about 77% or over 38 bln AMD fell on the loans for economy (7th position), with over twofold annual growth and 18.4% quarterly growth. 41% of the credit portfolio fell on the industrial sector (4th position), over 14% on construction (4th position), over 10% on trade (16th position), about 4% on agriculture (7th position), over 4% on services (8th position), 19% on consumer credits (8th position). The share of mortgage loans in the credit portfolio made up 5.5% or 2.8 bln AMD (12th position), with over twofold annual growth. Over 2010 the bank increased the loans for the industrial sector more than 8 times, agriculture - more than 6 times, trade sector - by over 76%, services - more than twice.
To note, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group is a principal member of the international payment systems VISA (since 2002) and MasterCard International (since 2005), as well as a member of the local payment system ArCa (since 2009) with a status of a serving bank. In 2009 the bank completed the migration of its own processing center to the processing center of Gazprombank OJSC (Russia). Areximbank-Gazprombank Group was the first Armenian bank to introduce the service of online ordering of international plastic cards. As of 1 Jan 2011 the number of bancomats made up 44, and POS-terminals - 128.
