UNISTREAM circulation in Armenia up 8,5% to $597 mln in 2010
ArmInfo. The circulation of the international money transfer system UNISTREAM in Armenia grew by 8,5% in 2010 - up to $597 mln against $550 mln in 2009. As press-service of Unibank reported, only in the second halfyear of 2010 the volume of transfers grew by 14,7% to $380 mln, and the number - by 5,6%, more than 748 thsd. The average size of a transfer grew by 3,5% up to $798 as against 2009.
In particular, the volume of the UNISTREAM money transfer from Armenia grew by 33% in 2010 up to $75 mln and to Armenia (the lion's share from Russia) by 5,5% to $522 mln. The number of the outgoing transfers grew by 16,4% and incoming - by 4,4% in 2010.
As President of UNISTREAM Suren Ayryan said, this system in Armenia is also conditioned by the most optimal tariffs. "We offer the customers the transfers in the national currency and take just 0,35% commission", - he said and added that except the attractive tariff options, the system also is promoting in the country the function of the no-address transfers, when a customer may get the money in any office of UNISTREAM. He also said that it is necessary to continue development of the product of the unified card of a customer, using of which will very much simplify the process of formation of transfer, as the card contains all the necessary data about a customer and potential receivers. At present more than 70% of transfers in Armenia have been implemented using this instrument. "In 2011 the system will continue its active development at the money transfer market", - Ayryan said.
