Credits provided by Armenian commercial banks for Jan 2011 up 28,1% to $2.6 billion
ArmInfo. Credits provided by the Armenian commercial banks for Jan 2011 were up 0,3% and as of 1 February amounted to 944.1 billion drams or $2.6 billion, and up by 28,1% as against the same period of 2010. Exclusive of rolled over and overdue credits, this indicator totaled 897.3 billion drams or $2.5 billion, having grown by 0.6% for Jan.
The preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, say in the total credit portfolio of commercial banks (rolled over and overdue loans exclusive), the share of credits in terms of Armenian dram was 42,5% or 381.1 billion drams and the share of foreign exchange credits was 57,5.% or 516.3 billion drams.
The share of rolled over credits in total was 4,5% or 42.7 billion drams as of February 1 2011, the share of overdue credits in total was 0.4% or 4,1 billion drams (up 8.8% for Jan 2011, down 22,6% as against the same period of 2010.
The share of short-term credits in rolled over credits was 99,8% or 40,079 billion drams. In the overdue credits the share of the short-term credits was 76,6%.
The interests on deposits in terms of the national dram were down for January 2011 from 18.9% to 18.25%, which was 0.8 percentage points lower than in at the same period of 2010.
