ARARATBANK presents its regular "card" innovation - the card of dual purpose AutoCard


ArmInfo. Today in Yerevan ARARATBANK presented its regular "card" innovation - the card of dual purpose AutoCard. As chairman of the bank board Ashot Osipyan said at the presentation ceremony, the new card technology has been drawn out by the bank together with the automatized system of the non-cash account Petrol Plus and international Visa payment system. He said that till the end of the current year the bank is going to issue 10thsd such cards.

Osipyan added that the new unique card will make it possible not only to implement traditional banking operations but will also displace the so called "fuel" cards of drivers. It is important that availability of the card will allow to escape possible losses because of the fuel price fluctuations. The partnership with Visa will allow that bank to introduce its new card technology not only in Armenia but also outside it, first of all in Georgia, he said. He also added that 70% out of the total number of the new cards emitted by the bank will be distributed among corporative customers of the bank and 30% - individual persons.

Osipyan said at the presentation ceremony of the new AutoCard that stable growth of the customer base of ARARATBANK is one of its strategical tasks, which management of the bank has been successfully implementing. The customers base is growing by average 47% every year. The position of the bank at the card segment is also growing - from 6% in 2007 up to 10%.
