Inflation in Armenia for March 2011 totaled 0.8%
ArmInfo. Inflation in the consumer market of Armenia for March 2011 totaled 0.8%. In Jan-Mar 2011 inflation totaled 5.2%, as food products (inclusive of alcohol and tobacco) grew in price 7.9%, non-foods - 0.9%, tariffs of services -2.5%, the National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo.
In March 2011 prices in the consumer market (inclusive of alcohol and tobacco) grew 0.8%, non-foods grew in price - 0.5% and tariffs for services - 0.9%.
Consumer price index in March 2011 versus the same period of 2010 totaled 111.5% including food products price index (alcohol and tobacco inclusive) made up 115.5%, non-foods - 103.8%, tariffs of services - 108.4%. These indicators for Jan-Mar 2011 versus Jan-March 2010 were as follows: 111.1%, 115.2%, 103.5% and 107.6%, respectively. The average monthly growth of prices for Jan-Mar 2011 totaled 1.7%, which is 0.7% higher than a year ago (1%)
In Mar 2011 versus Feb consumer price index in the surveyed towns was 0.2%-2.7%. In Yerevan, prices Were up 0.5%.
