Credit portfolio of Ameriabank up 17% for 1Q 2011
ArmInfo. As of 20 April 2011 the credit portfolio of Ameriabank amounted to 111 bln drams (including financial leasing and factoring). As press-service of the bank reported, the credit portfolio of the bank grew by 17% for the 1Q 2011 and amounted to 103 bln drams (more than $278 mln) as of 31.03.2011.
In the reported quarter 93% of the credit portfolio growth was ensured thanks to the corporative credits, the volume of which grew by more than 18%, having amounted to 88 bln drams or 85% of the credit portfolio. As of 31 March the share of the classified credits in the credit portfolio of Ameriabank was 0,64%. The assets of the bank grew by 5% for 1Q 2011 - up to 161 bln drams ($435.5 mln).
According to the ranking of Armenian commercial bank prepared by ArmInfo, as of 1 January 2011 the assets of Ameriabank amounted to 153 bln drams (the 2-nd position in the banking system). As of 1 January 2011 Ameriabank was the leader for the industrial sector crediting. The total of 36.1 bln drams or almost 40% of the credit portfolio of the bank were directed to this sector crediting. The bank ended the year of 2010 with 2.8 bln drams net profit and occupied the 4th position in the banking system of the country.
