Precious metals drop in price by almost 3%
ArmInfo.  Against the background of slight reduction in gold prices, as well as 3.6% drop in prices of silver, platinum and palladium, 2.9% average decline in precious metal prices will be fixed for the current week in Armenia. The State Depository of Precious Metals and Stones of the Armenian Finance Ministry, the following prices have been fixed for 16-22 May 2011: gold (small bullions) - 18082,79 AMD per g (0.8% weekly decline), silver - 442.46 AMD (5.3% weekly decline), platinum - 21417,08 AMD (2.2% weekly decline), palladium - 8696,02 AMD (3.2% weekly decline). 
To note, since the beginning of 2011, gold in Armenia has increased in price by 12.7%, silver - by 30.6%, platinum - by 7.4%, while palladium has fallen in price by 0.5%. The average growth in precious metal prices since early 2011 is 12.6%.
