Ameriabank receives GTFP Award 2010 from IFC as the best partner in Transcaucasia
ArmInfo. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has given GTFP Award 2010 to Ameriabank as the best partner and the most active custodian bank under the Global Trade Finance Program (GTPF). The press service of Ameriabank told ArmInfo that the IFC is giving this award to a Transcaucasian bank for the first time. Under this program, Ameriabank issued documentary letters of credit and guarantees worth almost 26 mln USD. According to the source, the award ceremony took place in Istanbul at the annual assembly of IFC, the the GTFP Award 2010 was given to Head of Trade Finance Department of Ameriabank Souren Kocharyan. A total of 288 representatives from 190 banks of various countries participated in the assembly. The award ceremony was followed by meetings with representatives of large foreign banks, which covered issues related to establishment of partner relations and expansion of cooperation. Ameriabank is going to actively continue the trade financing.
To note, the majority shareholder of Ameriabank is TDA Holdings Limited affiliated with Troika Dialog, with 99.99% share participation.
