Ardshininvestbank boosts private remittances
ArmInfo. Ardshininvestbank increased the turnover of private remittances 10.2% to $53 mln in Jan-May 2011 versus the same period of 2010.
Head of the Ardshininvestbank Department for Payment and Deposits Tigran Shahinyan told Arminfo only 5% of the above amount are remittances from Armenia, the remaining 95% is the inflow of remittances. Russia's share in the remittances to Armenia is over 65% and USA's share is 15%. T. Shahinyan said that on the basis of the intensification of private remittance since the beginning of the year the bank plans to ensure a 15% growth for 2011 versus 2010.
"The higher growth of private remittances is observed in August-December," he said, The average size of a remittance via Ardshininvestbank is $500 in 2011, Shahinyan said. In the meanwhile, he said, the bank is keen to improve the quality of the remittance services.
"The bank has prepared a number of surprises for its customers. In addition, one of our partners, Zolotaya Korona system will significantly cut the tariffs of remittances from Russia to Armenia starting June 20. At present all the branches of the bank in the country and in NKR provide remittance services to over 190 countries on the following international payment systems: Contact, MoneyGram, Migom, Blizko, IntelExpress, RIA Coinstar, Bistraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona. The bank cooperates with the Russian Fora Bank and Sberbank in the sphere," he said.
The bank serves 55 branches: including 13 in Yerevan, 36 in the regions and 6 in NKR as well as an office in Paris.
