ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia forecasts 5-6% inflation in 2011.
President of the CB Artur Javadyan says that in June inflation was high - 9%, against deflation in Mar and 0% level in May. In the summer the prices will drop. The CB will do its best to keep inflation lower than 5.5%. "We are ready for any risks - like climatic changes or jumping world prices," Javadyan said.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in May 2011 as compared May 2010 there was 9% inflation, in Jan-May 2011 - 5%, in May 2011 alone - 0%.
