As compared with June 2010 Anelik Bank has tripled number of plastic cards
ArmInfo. In Jan-May 2011 Anelik Bank increased the number of plastic cards by 10.9% to 37,934 (3 times more than in June 2010). The number of salary cards was increased by 30%.
The press service of the bank reports that in Jan-May 2011 the amount of card transactions grew by 13.4%. By the end of this year Anelik is planning to have 50,000 plastic cards.
The Holiday deposit action (an opportunity to win a trip to Paris) has helped the bank to increase the number of cards.
Anelik is among 13 banks involved in the national pension card project.
By the end of this year the bank is going to offer a package of discounts for services of over 200 Yerevan companies.
According to ArmInfo's Armenian Banks in Card Business review, Anelik Bank is among the 10 most active card issuers. Over 70% of the bank's cards are salary cards. As of Apr 1 2011 as compared with Apr 1 2010 the bank increased the number of active cards by 19.3%: ArCa - by 3.1%, Visa - by 24.4%, MasterCard - by 40.1%. The bank has 435 POS terminals (5th place among the Armenian banks) and 40 ATMs.
Established in 1990 Anelik Bank has its own money transfer system operating in 93 countries by means of 63,000 offices. Anelik has 5 branches in Yerevan, 6 branches in marzes and one subsidiary in Moscow - Anelik RU. In mid 2009 Lebanese Credit Bank bought 51% of the bank's shares. As of Jan 1 2011 Anelik's assets totalled 60.1bln AMD, credits - 29.7bln AMD.
