Precious metals dropped in price by 4% in June
ArmInfo. 1.6% average decline in prices of precious metals will be fixed in Armenia for the current week against the background of considerable decline in platinum and palladium prices (by 3.8%) and insignificant growth in prices of gold and silver (by 0.6%). The State Depository of Precious Metals and Stones of the Armenian Finance Ministry told ArmInfo that the following prices have been fixed for 27 June-3 July 2011: gold (small bullions) - 18457,11 AMD (0.4% weekly growth), silver - 428.46 AMD (0.7% growth), platinum - 20769,38 AMD (3.4% weekly decline), palladium - 9024,97 AMD (4.2% weekly decline).
Since early 2011, gold in Armenia has grown in price by 14,6%, silver - by 25,5%, platinum - by 7,8%, and palladium - by 7,9%. The average growth of precious metals prices since early 2011 is 12,3%. In June alone the average decline in precious metals prices was 4%.
