In June 2011 deflation in Armenia made up 1.4%
ArmInfo. The consumer market of Armenia demonstrated 3.5% inflation in Jan-June 2011, and 1.4% deflation in June alone. The Armenian National Statistical Service told ArmInfo that in June 2011 versus May 2011 food commodities (including alcohol and tobacco) dropped in price by 2.6%, and the tariffs of services and prices of nonfood items rose by 0.1%.
In June 2011 versus June 2010 the consumer price index in the republic made up 108.5%, including 113.6% price index for food commodities (including alcohol and tobacco), 102.9% price index for nonfood items, 102.8% index for tariffs of services, and in Jan-June 2011 as compared with the same period of 2010 - 109.9%, 114.8%, 103.1% and 105% respectively.
In Jan-June 2011 the consumer price index in the republic made up 103.5%, including 104.5% for food commodities (including alcohol and tobacco), 102.1% for nonfood items, 102.4% for tariffs of services. The average monthly growth in prices in Jan-June 2011 made up 0.6%, which is by 0.1 percentage point lower than the index of the same period of 2010 (0.7%).
In June 2011 versus May 2011, 2.3-1% reduction in consumer prices was fixed in all towns of Armenia under review. In Yerevan the prices were down 1.2%.
