In June 2011 nonfood items in Armenia grew in price by 0.1%
ArmInfo. The nonfood items in Armenia grew in price by 0.1% as compared with May, and in Jan-June - by 2.1%
The National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo that the price growth in the nonfood market in June was mostly conditioned by the growth in prices of petroleum and diesel fuel by 1.3% and 0.3% respectively. In June 2011 versus June 2010 petroleum and diesel fuel rose in price by 19.8% and 25.4% respectively, and versus December 2010 - by 22.7% and 25.3%.
At the same time, in June textile rose in price by 0.1%, personal items - by 0.1%, fuel - by 0.2%, medicaments - by 0.2%, footwear - by 0.4%, clothes - by 0.7%. In the meanwhile, articles of culture, articles of personal consumption, horticultural implements, stationery and jewelry, construction materials, household appliances fell in price by 5.9-0.1%, and furniture, carpets, kitchen implements, detergents underwent no changes.
In 5 towns under review, nonfood items grew in price by 0.2-0.9% in June 2011 versus May, in towns the prices were down 0.5- 0.1%. In Yerevan, nonfood items rose in price by 0.2%. To note, the consumer market of Armenia demonstrated 3.5% inflation in Jan-June 2011 and 1.4% deflation in June alone.
