Ameriabank to increase leasing portfolio to 3 bln drams for late 2011
ArmInfo. Ameriabank plans to increase its leasing portfolio 80% for late 2011 versus 2010 to 3 bln drams.
Ameriabank Director for Development Tigran Jrbashyan told ArmInfo the bank has already funded big leasing projects in the mining and metallurgical and mining industry. In addition, the bank introduced express-leasing service implying financing of leasing transactions in the amount of 40 mln drams through facilitated procedure.
At the same time, Tigran Jrbashayn said that a number of foreign companies are taking interest in cooperation with Ameriabank in co-financing of leasing transactions. However, certain legislative restrictions connected with import are impeding cooperation so far. "We decided to raise that legislative problem and discuss it with relevant structures, for we have all the necessary resources to activate leasing transactions," he said.
Ameriabank's financial report says that the bank's leasing portfolio as of March 31 2011 totaled 1.6 bln drams.
Ameriabank launched leasing services in June 2008. The majority shareholder of the bank is TDA Holdings Limited affiliated company of Russian Troika Dialog with 99.99%.
