"Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC Granted Single Student Scholarships to the Beneficiaries of 2011
ArmInfo. On July 14, 2011 "Areximbank - Gazprombank Group" CJSC held the official ceremony of awarding single scholarships for the year 2011, the press service of the bank told ArmInfo.
The bank has assigned about AMD 2 million for the action with the amount of scholarships ranging from AMD 40 000 to AMD 300 000. Nine students received by 40 000, three - 60 000, three - 80 000, five - 100 000, two - 120 000, one - 150 000 and one - 200 000 Armenian drams. The main prize of AMD 300 000 was awarded to Tigran Hakobyan, a third-year student of the Yerevan State University.
At the ceremony Rouben Khachatryan, Deputy Director General of "Areximbank - Gazprombank Group" CJSC, congratulated the winners accentuating the priority of social actions with the bank. "The student action has been conducted for the second time and will be ongoing for the next years by increasing both the budget and the number of scholars. In conclusion R. Khachatryan noted that "Areximbank- Gazprombank Group" CJSC provided for implementation of various activities and social programs under the slogan "Throughout the country - for the benefit of everyone", adjusted for various population groups. The Bank has already taken actions in support of children with infantile cerebral paralysis and from disadvantaged families, as well as the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
The action "Throughout the country – for the benefit of every student" proceeded from March to June 2011, targeted at supporting the formation of young specialists, showing high progress and actively involved in public and scientific activities of the country. During the action we have accepted more than 500 electronic applications from bachelors, masters, post-graduate students and chair candidates of state and private high educational institutions of the country. The applications have been considered by the special group of Bank experts on the basis of primary criteria, such as academic progress, public activity, social status and scoring system. The final results were summarized on interviews with the best Applicants conducted by the group of experts and winners of 2010. The names of 25 beneficiaries and the winner of the above stated nomination are now publicized on the Bank's official website.
