Yield on Armenia's securities market grew by 0.2-1.8% in Q2 2011
ArmInfo. In Q2 2011 the yield on Armenia's securities market grew by 0.2-1.8% against 0.7-1.2% drop in Q1 2011.
The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that the average yield of short-term government bonds (with circulation period of less than one year) grew by 1.47% to 9.37%, while that of medium-term bonds (circulated for over one year) - by 0.16% to 13.85%.
The average yield of repo transactions on the inter- and intra-bank markets grew by 1.79% to 9.95%.
In Q2 2011 AMD depreciated against USD by 2.15% to 374.18 AMD/1 USD (the average market rate), against EUR - by 7.08% to 539.15 AMD/1 EUR, against RUR - by 6.35% to 12.38 AMD/1 RUR.
July 12 2011 the CB decided to keep its official rate unchanged at 8.5%. The lombard repo and deposit rates were not changed either remaining at respective 11.5% and 5.5%.
