Money supply in Armenia up 2% to $2.6 bln for June 2011
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia was up 2% for June 2011 and 6,1%% for Jan-June 2011 (and by 23% as against the same period of 2010, having reached 967.3 bln drams ($2.6 bln) as of 1 July.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that cash circulated out of the banking system increased by 2.7% in June 2011, and by 0,8% for Jan-June and by 13,8% versus the same period of 2010, having amounted to 301.8 billion drams as of 1 July. The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in total money supply was 24.7% or 239.5 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 44% or 426 billion drams.
External assets were up 21.3% for June 2011 to 70.4 billion drams (down threefold for Jan-June 2011). Internal assets increased 0.7% in June and by 25,2% for Jan-June 2011 having amounted to 896.8 bln drams as of 1 July 2011.
In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government proved at the negative level of 54 billion drams (down 6.8% in June). In addition, the share of economy was 1.153 trillion drams (up 1.4% for the reported period). The share of organizations was 460.5 billion drams (up 1.3% in June) and the share of non-commercial enterprises was 13.2 billion drams (up 2,5% for June).
