Share of foreign capital in authorized fund of banking system of Armenia down from 75% to 73% for 2Q 2011

The share of the foreign capital in the aggregate authorized fund of the banking system of Armenia increased by 4.1% for the 2Q 2011 (in absolute terms) and by 1 July amounted to 158.2 bln drams ($446.4 mln), or 73% (against 75% on 1 April 2011Ј, 74% by 1 January 2011 and 73% by 1 July 2010). The authorized fund over the reported quarter grew by 7,3%, and reached by 1 July 2011 226.4 bln drams ($613.9 mln) or 66,7% out of the total capital (against 63% by 1 April 2011, 64% by 1 January 2011 and 66,5% by 1 July 2010).
As press-service of Armenian Central Bank reported, the aggregate capital of the banking system of Armenia increased by 1,4% for the 2Q 2011 and reached by 1 July 2011 339,7 bln drams ($921 mln). In its structure the share of the net surplus was 22,5% or 76.5 bln drams ($207.4 mln), with a quarter decline by 15%.
