Salary of employees up 20% to $804 in insurance system of Armenia


Arminfo. According to the results of the 1Q 2011 the average salary of employees has grown by 20% versus 1Q 2010 and amounted to 279 thsd drams or $804 in the insurance system of Armenia.

According to the Ranking of Armenian insurance companies prepared by Arminfo, the highest average salary was fixed at the insurance company "RESO" - 503.1 thsd drams ($1.361 thsd). The salary fund of the company amounted to 128.3 mln drams in the 1Q, the number of employees - 85. The least average salary was fixed at "Cascade Insurance" - 195.9 thsd drams or $530, it reduced by 24,2% versus 1Q 2010. The number of employees of this company reached 144, growth by almost fourfold versus 1Q 2010.

In general, as of 1 April 2011, 826 employees have been employed in the insurance sector of Armenia. This is by threefold more versus the same period of 2010.
