SMEDNC to present Armenia in Project "Black Sea Tradenet (B.S.T.)"
ArmInfo. SME Development National Centre of Armenia (SMEDNC) has entered in project "Black Sea Tradenet (B.S.T.)".
As press-service of SMEDNC reported, general objective of the project is to encourage and facilitate intra-regional partnerships and cross-border cooperation aiming at sustainable development in the Black Sea Basin, based on combined resources, activities and networks of common interest. Duration of the activities is 18 months, from June 2011 to November 2012. Total budget is 379.975 Euro, of which EU contribution is 90%.
Constanta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Agriculture, as lead partner, together with Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dobrich, Bulgaria, Hellenic Foreign Trade Board (HEPO) Thessaloniki and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kavala, Greece, SME Development National Centre of Armenia, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Trabzon and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zonguldak, Turkey, have started the implementation of the project "Black Sea Tradenet (B.S.T.)", financed by the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2007-2013. Main activities include creation and promotion of the Black Sea Commercial Atlas presenting economic and trade environment in 5 countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Armenia, Turkey); a website with information on economic and trade development with an online database (DB) for business opportunities and an online stock market exchange; organisation of 7 workshops fostering understanding and stimulation of interest in Basin cooperation, addressing local businesses in all partners' cities; organisation of a brokerage event (in Greece) for SMEs from all 5 countries; creation of the Black Sea Tradenet network (B.S.T.) with 7 contact points hosted by the project partners, one for each region/area, so that the local business communities to have access to relevant information and services.
