Internal state debt of Armenia up 2.9% for the first half of 2011
ArmInfo. Internal state debt of Armenia was up 2.9% for the first half of 2011 and 0,1% for the Q2 alone and totaled 185.593 billion drams ($510mln) or 12.8% of the total state debt. The National Statistics Service of Armenia told ArmInfo the internal state debt grew 26.7% versus the first half of 2010.
The share of government treasury short-term coupon bonds (GTSB) in the state debt made up 27 billion drams or 14.5% (almost halved for Jan-Jun 2011, down 38.4% for Q2 and 13.2% per year). The share of mid-term coupon bonds (GTMB) totaled 51.5% or 95.6 billion drams (up 10.6% for the first half of 2011, 9.3% for Q2 and 26.1% per year) and the share of long- term government bonds (GTLB) was 30% or 55.7 billion drams (up 61.4% for the first half of 2011, 21.1% for Q2 and 78.5% per year). The share of government saving bonds (GSB) was 0.7 billion drams or 0.4% (up 16.7% for Jan-Jun, over twofold per year). Raised loans totaled 3.6% or 6.6 bln drams (down 9.6% for the first half of 2011 and 18.5% per year).
In the structure of GTB, transactions with 1-40-week bonds totaled 15.4bn drams (down over twofold for Jan-Jun) and in the structure of GTMB transactions with 2-3-year government bonds amounted to 42.6bn drams (1.4% fall for the first half).
The average yield of government bonds versus Jan-Jun 2011 was up 0.3% or by 0.04 points to 12.4686%, whereas in June versus May the yield grew 0.3 points.
