Ameriabank opens branch in Vanadzor
ArmInfo. The new branch of Ameriabank in Vanadzor, Lori marz, was officially inaugurated on Tuesday.
The ceremony was attended by the governor of Lori, Central Bank officials and businessmen.
CEO of Ameriabank Artak Hanessyan said that the Vanadzor branch looks no worse than the branches in Yerevan. It will offer a full package of services, with focus on SME support and consumer lending. Since there are lots of small water power plants in Lori marz, the branch will actively finance renewable energy projects. "I am sure that our services and tariffs will be attractive for the local population," Hanessyan said.
He said that by the end of Sept the branch will offer discounts to new customers. VISA Classic and MasterCard Standard holders will be able to use their cards free of charge for one year. Gold secured loans will be provided at 18%.
Retail Banking Manager of Ameriabank Vazrik Sekoyan said that it is the bank's 8th branch. It is up to date and, just like the head office, has a premium customer hall.
The next branch will be opened in Yerevan's Shengavit community.
Governor of Lori marz Artur Nalbandyan is sure that the branch will stimulate the development of the local economy. "It will help us to reduce poverty and to make banking products more accessible for our middle class," Nalbandyan said. He noted that since Lori marz has 105 rural communities, agricultural loans may prove to be most popular. The majority shareholder of Ameriabank is Troika Dialog's affiliate TDA Holdings Limited (99.9%).
