Armenian bankers to present financial and banking system of Armenia in USA
Arminfo. On 25 September the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) is organizing the first international conference of Armenian banks in Los Angeles.
As executive director of the UBA Seyran Sargsyan told Arminfo correspondent, more than 150 people, not only representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, but also foreigners - leaders of big financial structures, investors and businessmen, are expected to take part in the conference which will be held in the "Hilton" hotel Universal City. The big Armenian delegation, including the leaders of 13-14 commercial banks, will take part in the conference. Sargsyan also added that representatives of the banking system of Armenia will present to the participants in the conference the current state of the financial and banking system of Armenia and the services offered by commercial banks. Presentations will be organized within the frames of the conference as well as the meeting on questions/answers in the Davos forum format. "That will be a rather serious event, which will be held for the first time just in the USA stemming from availability of the big Armenian Diaspora there. We hope the forum will be of the consistent nature and next year will be organized in another country", - Sargsyan said.
To note, all 21 commercial banks of Armenia are members of the UBA which has been functioning since 1995.
