Union of Banks of Armenia: HSBC considers only development programs in Armenia


ArmInfo. HSBC Group considers only development programs in Armenia, President of the Union of Banks of Armenia-CEO of ARARATBANK Ashot Osipyan said during a press-conference while asked about the possibility of HSBC's leaving Armenia after leaving Georgia.

He said that HSBC Bank Armenia continues its successful activities in the country.

To remind, following changes in its global strategy, HSBC Group has decided to leave Georgia. Earlier it decided to stop its retail business in Poland and Russia. HSBC Bank Georgia will be closed by the end of this year. A few years ago HSBC closed its bank in Azerbaijan.
