Real effective exchange rate of foreign currency decreases by 1,3% for June 2011
Arminfo. The real effective exchange rate of foreign currency decreased by 1,3% for June 2011 versus May, and by 9,3% versus December 2010, having amounted to 138,6, Armenian Central Bank reported.
In June 2011 versus June 2010 the real effective exchange rate decreased by 8,2%. To recall, over 2010 decrease of this indicator was fixed in March, July, August, September and October; and increase was fixed in February, April, May, June, November and December. In 2011 this indicator only decreased.
At the same time, the nominal effective exchange rate in June 2011 did not change versus May, and decreased by 7,1% versus December 2010 having amounted to 211.8. In June 2011 versus June 2010 the nominal effective rate decreased by 9,9%. The decrease of the nominal effective exchange rate in 2010 was fixed in March, July, August, October, and increase - in February, May, June, September, November and December. The growth of this indicator in 2011 was fixed only May.
