Drop in yield on Armenia's securities market
ArmInfo. In Aug the yield on Armenia's primary and inter-bank securities markets dropped.
According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia, on the repo market the average yield dropped by 1.03% to 9.54%, on the inter-bank repo market - by 0.79% to 9.17%. On the primary market the average yield of short-term government bonds dropped by 0.9% to 7.79%.
According to the source, the foreign exchange market fixed 0.29% AMD devaluation against USD to 367.07 AMD/1 USD, 0.56% AMD devaluation against EUR to 526.45 AMD/1 EUR, and 3.22% AMD revaluation to 12.74 AMD/1 RUR.
To note, on 6 September 2011 the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia decided to reduce the refinancing rate to 8%. The lombard repo rates and the attracted deposit rates made up 11% and 5% respectively.
