Central Bank of Armenia issues jubilee silver coin on occasion of Independence Day
ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has issued a 5,000 AMD proof jubilee silver coin on the occasion of the 20th year of Armenia's independence.
The diameter of the coin is 63 mm, the weight - 168.1 g.
The press service of the CB reports that 300 such coins have been minted in Finland. The designer is Harutyun Samuelyan.
The averse of the coin pictures Armenia's national emblem and bears inscriptions "5,000 AMD," "Republic of Armenia" (in Armenian and English) and "2011," the reverse - an eagle and a crane (symbols of freedom and peace, the military and spiritual strength of the Armenian nation and state), and inscriptions "20th Year of Republic of Armenia" (in Armenian) and "2011" on the tricolor background (red, blue and orange).
