Chairman of Armenian Central Bank proves the interest of Rietumu Bank to the Armenian market
Arminfo. Chairman of Armenian Central Bank, Artur Javadyan, has proved the interest of one of the biggest banks of Latvia, Rietumu Bank , to enter Armenian banking market. He said in an interview with Arminfo correspondent that Rietumu Bank is going to open its office in Armenia and added the issue is being discussed at present.
Rietumu Bank, registered in 1992, is one of the largest banks in the Baltic States, specialized in corporate banking and affluent individuals.
The Bank is well represented in the global market, providing services to customers all over Europe, the Baltic States, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other regions.

More than one third of profit got by the Latvian banks in 2010 was earned by Rietumu Banka, the net profit of which was about 4,6 mln EUR. As of 1 January 2011 the volume assets of Rietumu Banka amounted to 1,6 bln EUR, the credit portfolio - 763 mln EUR, the volume of deposits of customers - 1,4 bln EUR, capital and reserves - 196 mln EUR.
To recall, the universal credit organization "Norvik" is the only company with Latvian capital in the financial system of Armenia. It is a subsidiary of the Latvian-Islandian "Norvik Banka".
