Yield reduction observed in primary and interbank securities markets of Armenia over Q3
ArmInfo. Yield reduction was observed in the primary and interbank securities markets of Armenia over Q3. The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo that as compared with June, the market repo rate dropped by 0.48% to 9.71%, and in the interbank repo market - by 0.28% to 9.32%. In the primary market the average yield of government bonds with up to 1-year maturity dropped by 1.55% to 8.07%.
According to the source, in September 2011 AMD revaluation against USD in the currency market was by 0.64% to 372.28 AMD/$1, against EUR - by 5.04% to 513.4 AMD/1EUR, against RUR - by 10.3% to 12.14 AMD/1RUR.
To note, on 11 October 2011 the CB Council retained the refinancing rate at the same level - 8%. Consequently, the lombard repo rates and the deposit rates also remained the same - 11% and 5% respectively.
