National Mortgage Company increases its credit portfolio by 63% over Jan-Nov 2011
ArmInfo. The portfolio of refinanced mortgage loans of the National Mortgage Company (NMC) grew by 63% in Jan-Nov 2011 and totaled 16.272 bln AMD by 1 December (2205 loans). In November the portfolio grew by 4% to 617 mln AMD (84 mortgage loans).
At present NMC has general contracts with 15 commercial banks and 3 credit companies: ArmBusinessBank, ARARATBANK, Armeconombank, Artsakhbank, Anelik Bank, Areximbank- Gazprombank Group, Ardshininvestbank, VTB Bank (Armenia), HSBC Bank Armenia, INECOBANK, Byblos Bank Armenia, Unibank, Armenian Development Bank, Converse Bank, ArmSwissBank, as well as First Mortgage Company, Global Credit and Express Credit.
NMC was set up on 16 June 2009 by the decision of the Central Bank of Armenia. As of 1 Oct 2011, the authorized capital of the company is 8.2 bln AMD, total capital - 8.5 bln AMD, by which the company occupied leading positions among the universal credit organizations. As of 1 Oct 2011, the assets of the company amounted to 14.659 bln AMD (2nd position), 86.3% of which fell on provision of crediting (1st position).
