Money supply in Armenia up 2.7% to $2.8 billion for Nov 2011
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia was up 2.7% for Nov 2011 and 22,2% for Jan-Nov 2011 (and by 27,6% as against the same period of 2010, having reached 1.071 trillion drams ($2.8 bln) as of 1 December.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that cash circulated out of the banking system grew by 0.3% in Nov 2011, and by 19.1% for Jan-Nov to 328 billion drams as of 1 December. The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in total money supply was 26.7% or 286.2 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 44.8% or 364 billion drams. The share of foreign currency deposits - 42,7% or 457 bln drams.
External assets were down 2.2% for Nov 2011 to 28.8 billion drams (down by more than 6 times for Jan-Nov 2011). The internal assets grew by 2,8% in Nov and 50% for Jan-Nov 2011 - more than 1 trillion drams as of 1 December 2011.
In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government proved at the negative level of 34.1 billion drams (up 24.4% in Nov). In addition, the share of economy was 1.28 trillion drams (up 2.7% for Nov). The share of organizations was 752.4 billion drams (up 2.8% in Nov) and the share of non-commercial enterprises was 13.7 billion drams (down 1% for Nov).
