In Q3 2011 Armenia's foreign debt grew by 5.3% to $7.3bln
ArmInfo. In Q3 2011 Armenia's foreign debt grew by 5.3% to $7.335bln, the foreign assets by 5.8% to $4.889bln, the net debt by 4.5% to $2.446bln.
Armenia's Finance Ministry reports that 40.07% of the foreign debt or $2.939bln belongs to the government, 21.66% or $1.588bln to the banking system, 16.39% or $1.202bln to the private sector. 11.99% of the debt or $879.28mln was direct foreign investments received in the form of corporate loans.
The short-term debt of the commercial banks redoubled during the period to $155.08mln, the long-term one grew by 3.4% to $724.21mln.
