The amount of financial and insurance services provided in Armenia in 2011 grew by 9.6%
ArmInfo. The amount of financial and insurance services provided in Armenia in Nov 2011 grew by 9.6% as compared with Nov 2010 to 15.4bln AMD or $40.2mln (20.7% of all services provided during the period - 74.2bln AMD or $194mln). As compared with Oct 2011 the index dropped by 9.6%.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that some 22.7% of all services or 16.9bln AMD ($44.1mln) were provided in the sphere of information and communication, 21.4% in transport (16bln AMD or $41.5mln).
In Nov 2011 as compared with Oct 2011 the amount of health care and social security services grew by 32.7% and 4.7%, respectively. The amount of hotel services grew by 14.5% as compared with Nov 2010 and by 2.2% as compared with Oct 2011 to 4.3bln AMD or $11.2mln. The amount of real estate transactions dropped by 5.2% and grew by 4.4%, respectively, to 2.4bln AMD or $6.4mln.
