In Q4 2011 Financial Ombudsman's Office received 193 complaints against financial organizations of Armenia
ArmInfo. In Q4 2011 the Armenian Financial Ombudsman's Office received 214 complaints, 193 of which were against the financial organizations, the Financial Ombudsman's Office told ArmInfo.
According to the source, 68 out of 193 complaints were not subject to consideration according to the law "On Ombudsman of the Financial System". 18 complaints of the other 125 complaints were satisfied on the basis of the customers' applications, 52 were taken into consideration by the Financial Ombudsman. 29 of them were directed against the insurance companies and the Motor Insurers' Bureau, 21 against the banks, 1 against a credit company and 1 against the Lombard.
Out of the 29 complaints against the insurance companies and the Motor Insurers' Bureau, 21 concerned motor third party liability insurance, 4 concerned insurance of transport vehicles, 2 concerned medical insurance, and 1 concerned property insurance. Out of the 21 complaints against the banks, 9 concerned credit transactions, 8 concerned payment and settlement operations, and 4 concerned deposit transactions.
Out of the 50 written complaints taken into consideration by the Financial Ombudsman, 17 were rejected, 16 were satisfied by means of agreements, the consideration of 7 complaints was suspended, 7 were partly satisfied, and 3 were completely satisfied.
