AMD devaluation against USD makes up 6.2%

ArmInfo. The devaluation of AMD against USD made up 6.2% over year. The National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo that in Jan 2012 the average exchange rate was 387.53 AMD/$1 against 364.95 AMD/$1 in Jan 2011.

According to the source, the 3.6% growth in consumer prices in Jan 2012 versus Dec 2011 was accompanied by 1.1% devaluation of AMD against USD. To recall, in Jan 2011 the 2.8% inflation was accompanied by 1.2% devaluation of AMD against USD. In Jan 2012 versus Jan 2011 the 3.4% growth in consumer prices was accompanied by 1.2% devaluation of AMD against USD.
