Armbusinessbank and VTB Bank (Armenia) join UNIStream system
ArmInfo. Armbusinessbank and VTB Bank (Armenia) have been allowed by the Central Bank of Armenia to join the UNIStream international money transfer system, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reported.
Earlier President of UNIStream Suren Hayrikyan said that enlargement is one of the key components of the system's strategy in Armenia.
Besides opening new outlets, the system is introducing new products and options, particularly, a unified customer card. UNIStream's services are offered in RUR, USD and EUR.
UNIStream has over 250,000 outlets in almost 100 countries. Four Armenian banks are already members of the system: Prometey, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ardshininvest and Armbusiness.
In Jan-Nov 2011 the system's turnover totaled $602.5mln - 14.78% more than in Jan-Nov 2010. The number of transfers grew by 15.58% to 727,832, More than 1,000,000 people hold UNIStream's unified customer card, with as many as 65% transactions worldwide and 80% in Armenia carried out by means of this card.
Ardshininvestbank cooperates with IntelExpress, Zolotaya Korona, Contact, MoneyGram, Migom, Blizko, RIA, Coinstar, Bystraya Pochta, the Russian Fora Bank and Sberbank. The bank has 55 branches (13 in Yerevan).
Armbusinessbank is member of Anelik, Contact, MoneyGram, Migom, Bystraya Pochta and IntelExpress and has 29 branches (11 in Yerevan).
VTB Bank (Armenia) is partner to SWIFT, MoneyGram, Migom, Blizko, IntelExress, Anelik, Bystraya Pochta, RIA Money, Transfers, Leader and has 68 branches (24 in Yerevan).
Prometey cooperates with Migom, Contact, MoneyGram, Anelik and Bystraya Pochta and has 6 branches (5 in Yerevan).
