ArmInfo. In 2012 VTB Bank (Armenia) is planning to increase its card portfolio by 30%, Head of the Retail Banking Department of VTB Bank (Armenia) Artak Khachatryan said during a press-conference on Thursday.
The bank is considering new card projects, one of them jointly with Beeline.
According to Khachatryan, in 2011 the number of noncash payments with VTB Bank (Armenia) totaled 6 billion, and the volume of transactions exceeded 80 bln AMD. At the moment the number of cards exceeds 140 thousand.
"At present the Bank has 250,000 customers, nearly 30% of them are depositors. Over 5,000 of the customers are legal entities, about 1,000 of them are depositors", Khachatryan said.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became a member of VTB Group in April 2004. At the moment VTB Bank, the second largest bank in Russia, owns 100% of shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). The bank has the largest branch network in Armenia (68 branches).
