NASDAQ OMX Armenia awards stock market participants for activeness in trading


ArmInfo. NASDAQ OMX Armenia has awarded youth for the best essays and encouraged the capital market participants for activeness in trading. According to Director General of NASDAQ OMX Armenia Konstantin Saroyan, the Best Exchange Member Award is called up to encourage the most active stock market participants and to create a more developed and transparent capital market, which, in its turn, will contribute to development of economy.

This year 5 nominations were presented at the contest (against 4 nominations in 2011). The investment company Capital Asset Management cjsc has become the Best Exchange Member in Corporate Securities Market for the second year running. ARARATBANK has become the Best Exchange Member in Government Bonds Market. Ameriabank has become the Best Exchange Member in Foreign Currency Market. ArmBusinessBank has become the Best Exchange Member in Credit Resources Market, and ARARATBANK has won the Best Exchange Member Award.

The winners of the "Let's Develop Armenian Capital Market" Student Essay Contest have also been awarded. Senior students of Economics, Law and other departments of all higher educational institutions, having state accreditation, could participate in the contest. Each contestant could submit only one essay. The best contestants were awarded diplomas from NASDAQ OMX Armenia.

To recall, the Best Member Award by NASDAQ OMX Armenia ojsc is aimed at encouraging those investment services provide companies, actively involved in trading on various Exchange markets, participating in activities dedicated to developing and improving Armenian capital markets, as well as keeping the code of professional ethics. Award is granted once a year among the Exchange member companies based on the results of each year as of December 31. The Award is granted for the following nominations: Best Exchange Member in Corporate Securities Market; Best Exchange Member in Government Bonds Market; Best Exchange Member in Foreign Currency Market; Best Exchange Member in Credit Resources Market.
