Gross foreign debt of Armenia up 8.2% to $3.6 billion for 2011
ArmInfo. Gross foreign debt of Armenia was up 8,2% and reached $3568.197 million or 86,4% out of the total state debt (1592.712 bln drams) for 2011, Armenian National Statistics Service reported. In the structure of foreign debt the share of the Armenian government was 82,7% or $2,9 bln with growth by 7,8% versus 2010. The debt of Central Bank grew by 9,7% for 2011 and amounted to $617.3 mln (17,3% out of total foreign debt).
In the structure of gross foreign debt of Armenia the share of the debt to the multilateral creditors was 69,4% or $2475.424 mln, it grew by 9,8% in 2011. In particular, the debt to the World Bank amounted to $1.3 bln or 37,5% out of the gross foreign debt, having grown by 5,6% for the reported period. The debt to IFAD grew by 6,9% and amounted to $66.3 mln or 1,9% out of gross foreign debt. The debt to IMF grew by 11,7% and amounted to $827.5 mln or 23,2% out of gross foreign debt. the debt to OPEC was 0,8% out of the total volume of foreign debt or $28.3 mln, having dropped by 1,2%. the debt to EBRD was 0,4% or $13.7 mln having grown by 36,9%. The debt to Asian Development Bank grew by 12,7% up to $165.3 mln or 4,6% out of gross foreign debt.
The debt to the bilateral creditors in the structure of foreign debt of Armenia was 30,6% or $1092.773 mln having grown by 4,5% for 2011. In the structure of the bilateral creditors the debt dropping was fixed in the debt to the USA - by 5,9% to $31.1 mln or 0,9% out of the gross foreign debt and to France - by 5,7% to $4.1 mln or 0,1% out of gross foreign debt. The debt growth was fixed in the debt to Germany - by 16,8% up to $155.1 mln, Japan - by 6,1% up to $397.2 mln and to Abu-Dabi development fund - by more than threefold up to $3.1 mln. The debt to Russia has not changed and still remains $500 mln or 14% out of the aggregate foreign debt.
