UNISTREAM system's network of partners in Armenia rapidly expanding
ArmInfo. The partner network of UNISTREAM money transfer system in Armenia is rapidly expanding, the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo. ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and ARARARATBANK received permission to participate in UNISTREAM system on March 6.
Thus, seven Armenian banks have already connected to the system (ed. Prometey Bank, VTb Bank (Armenia), Ardshininvestbank, Armbusinessbank, INECOBANK, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and ARARATBANK). The number of UNIStream's partners has reached 8, inclusive of Unibank.
UNIStream is the most demanded system of money transfers in Armenia and the leader in the market by the volume and number of transfers. Unibank is the strategic partner of UNISTREAM in Armenia. The turnover of UNIStream for Jan-Nov 2011 totaled $602.5 mln, with a 14.78% growth versus the same period of 2010. The number of money transfers grew 15.58% to 727832. UNIStream services are available in three currencies in Armenia: RUR, EUR and USD. The system offers also addressless money transfers from Armenia. The number of UNSTream customer unified cardholders has exceeded 1 million people. Actually, 65% of total money transfers in the system are made through the customer unified cards. This indicator in Armenia is nearly 80%.
