Olivier Descamps highly estimates achievements in the financial sector of Armenia and Central Bank's steps to ensure financial stability
ArmInfo. During today's meeting with Olivier Descamps, Managing Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Head of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadyan highly estimated the EBRD's work in Armenia.
The CBA press service told ArmInfo that Javadyan stressed the significance of the EBRD's role in stable development of Armenia's economy via investments in the real sector of the country, particularly, in the sphere of agriculture, energy, transport, municipal and environmental infrastructures, telecommunications and financial sector.
For his part, Olivier Descamps highly assessed the achievements fixed in the financial sector over the past few years, and attached much importance to the CBA's steps aimed at financial stability and development of the financial sector of the country. He stressed that the level of development of the business environment and financial system of Armenia create a favorable basis for further deepening of the current cooperation. During the meeting Olivier Descamps presented the EBRD's strategy in Armenia and the priority directions of the activity.
Javadyan expressed hope that the EBRD will continue including Armenia in its regional strategic program. He assured that the CBA is willing to continue the bilateral cooperation in the same constructive way.
